Organization
Comcast Corporation is the largest cable television provider, the 2nd largest internet service provider, and 3rd largest phone company in North America, employing over 100,000 individuals in their 300+ offices.
Conference Rooms
The Comcast Center project revolved around the creation of standard conference rooms which could be replicated thought out their global enterprise. Each standard conference room centers on a NEC flat-panel display or a Panasonic projector fed by an array of input devices ranging from DVD players, VHS players, computers, and of course, a cable feed. These sources are controlled and managed by a Crestron MPS-200 system that handles input switching, system control, and in some rooms, lighting and shade control.
The modular design of these basic rooms allows them to be expanded as needed to meet the diverse needs of Comcast throughout the building and in their other offices. The dozens of additional conference rooms at Comcast Center all start with the same basic design with more fully featured A/V-enabled rooms adding more equipment and functionality as needed.
