VCA Expands AVID Service & Support Contract Capabilities in NY/NJ/PA with Acquisition of New Senior Avid Staff

 

With the acquisition of three new key employees, VCA now has the largest AVID certified staff of engineers and technical support personnel in the mid-Atlantic region.

 

Tewksbury, MA, March 13th, 2010 – Avid® (NASDAQ: AVID) is pleased to announce that Video Corporation of America (VCA), its largest reseller in the east has made a major expansion of its AVID technical staff, enabling VCA to offer 24x7 enterprise level comprehensive support contracts for the most demanding customers in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. VCA Welcomes Don Pacitti

In an effort to enhance the value of what technology brings to our clients by offering more effective designs, Video Corporation of America is happy to announce the addition of industry veteran, Don Pacitti, to our staff. Don is well-known as an exceptional engineer and manager with over 30 years of experience in the A/V industry. Possessing an extensive knowledge of high-end audio/visual and conferencing solutions, Don holds an engineering degree from Drexel and an Infocomm CTS-D certification.

Don is now taking that experience and combining it with VCA’s strong engineering and sales personnel to lead a dedicated sales engineering team. By bridging the gap between end-user needs and technology, Don will provide the sales force with the engineering support required to bring unique value to our clients. His vast experience, engineering background, and team building mentality, make him an asset we are glad to have here at VCA.

Christina and her support team will be covering New York City thru Washington/Virginia. Christina will be focused in the Broadcast, Production and Post-Production markets and will be handling content creation & editing solutions from Autodesk, Avid and Apple; as well as the full array of engineering, project management, and system installation services VCA uniquely provides to the region.

Christina came to us from Autodesk Media & Entertainment Systems where she was the Mid-Atlantic Territory Manager selling Smoke, Flame and Lustre, she has more than a decade of past experience in selling professional video solutions for Content creation and broadcast professionals.
